A) Core Application Requirements
- Online visa application form.
- Visa fee payment receipt (~£115 for a 6-month visa, fees may change).
- Appointment booking confirmation (TLScontact Bangkok or Chiang Mai).
- Passport (original + copies):
- Valid at least 6 months beyond your intended return date.
- Must contain 2 blank pages.
- Bring old passports with travel history.
- Biometric enrolment (photo + fingerprints at TLScontact).
- Photograph (not always required as TLS takes photos, but bring 1 passport-size photo just in case).
B) Main Supporting Documents (Business Focus)
- Covering Letter (in English):
- Written by the applicant (or company in Thailand).
- Should include:
- Purpose of visit (e.g. attending business meetings, conference, training, contract signing).
- Duration of stay.
- Company background in Thailand.
- Relationship with the UK company/organization.
- Who will fund the trip (company or applicant).
- Confirmation of intention to return to Thailand.
- Invitation Letter from UK Company/Organization:
- Must be on company letterhead.
- Should state:
- Reason for invitation.
- Dates and location of meetings/conference.
- Confirmation of who covers expenses (UK company or Thai company).
- Contact details of the inviting party.
- Conference/Exhibition Registration (if applicable):
- Proof of registration and payment.
- Agenda/program details.
- Travel Plan (Itinerary):
- Flight reservations (return ticket).
- Hotel booking confirmation covering entire stay.
- Daily plan of meetings/events (if available).
C) Proof of Financial Means
- Personal bank statements (6 months):
- Showing regular income and sufficient balance to cover trip.
- Savings accounts or fixed deposits.
- Credit card statements (optional, but useful to show backup funds).
- If employer is paying:
- Employer letter confirming they will cover travel expenses.
- Employer’s bank statements or proof of company financial capacity.
D) Proof of Employment or Business in Thailand
- Employees:
- Employment letter (position, salary, start date, approved leave for UK business trip, HR contact).
- Payslips (last 3–6 months).
- Work contract (if available).
- Business owners/self-employed:
- Company registration documents (DBD, partnership, or limited company papers).
- VAT/tax filings, financial statements.
- Company bank statements.
- Professionals:
- Association or professional membership certificates (if relevant).
E) Proof of Ties to Thailand (Return Assurance)
- Employment or business commitments (contract, company ownership, projects).
- Family ties:
- Marriage certificate (if married).
- Birth certificates of children (if applicable).
- Household registration (Tabien Baan).
- Assets:
- Land or property deeds.
- Vehicle registrations.
- Investments (stocks, bonds, provident fund).
F) Additional Supporting Documents
- Company profile/leaflet (for Thai business).
- Business correspondence (emails, contracts, agreements with UK partners).
- If sponsored by UK company:
- Sponsorship letter.
- Proof of company registration in the UK.

G) Previous Travel History
- Copies of old visas (Schengen, UK, US, Japan, Korea).
- Entry/exit stamps showing good compliance with visas.
